airBaltic offers over 100 routes for summer

airBaltic will enter the summer season with over 100 routes in Europe, Scandinavia, Russia, CIS and the Middle East. From its home base in Riga airBaltic will serve 80 destinations in the summer season.

Tero Taskila, Chief Commercial Officer of airBaltic: "To meet the growing demand of passengers for travel at attractive prices, airBaltic has extended the network, added flights on high-demand routes, and has significantly improved connections over its North Hub Riga to/from Europe, Scandinavia, Russia, CIS and the Middle East."

Compared to summer 2009, airBaltic offers 11 new routes from its North Hub Riga, 10 new routes for Finland, 9 new routes for Lithuania, 4 new routes for Estonia.

airBaltic will increase flight frequency on 20 routes, and offer almost 200 average daily departures. Compared to summer 2009, airBaltic  will operate more flights from the North Hub Riga to Aalesund, Stockholm, Bergen, Stavanger, Billund, Dushanbe, Hannover, Hamburg, Helsinki, Kaliningrad, Oslo, Taskent, Tartu, Tbilisi, Turku, Oulu, Tallinn, Tel Aviv, Tampere, Berlin.

For 2009 airBaltic has announced 20 million EUR preliminary profits, and achieved 6% passenger growth to 2.75 million passengers. In 2010, airBaltic has so far announced eleven new destinations from its North Hub Riga including Madrid, Belgrade, Vaasa, Umea, Beirut, Amman,  Rovaniemi, Kuusamo, Visby and Lulea.
