Miller Homes Site Manager scoops award

Bill Hughes, Site Manager at Miller Homes’ Scholars Way development in St Helens, has just received another NHBC award to add to his collection. Bill has won the Supreme Runner Up in the 2009 NHBC Pride in the Job competition, in the large builder category.
Bill has already scooped a number of NHBC awards this year, which led to him being entered into the Pride in the Job Supreme Award final. In the first round of the awards, open to 14,000 eligible site managers, Bill was one of 400 Site Managers to received a Quality Award. This put him through to the next stage, in which he was one of 130 Seal of Excellence winners. At the same event Bill won through to be one of nine regional finalists. In the final round all the regional winners compete for Supreme awards in four categories.
Bill is no stranger to winning awards, having four Supreme winner medals and also being a regional finalist in the past few years.
Fred Swinburne, Construction Director at Miller Homes, presented Bill with his latest awards. Fred says: “To have achieved so much success in recent years and been so close to the ultimate award yet again is a remarkable achievement. Bill and the Miller Homes construction team have actively helped raise the standards of construction in the North West. Over the years this has been done by inviting people from the industry to Bill’s sites, to share best practice and see first hand Bill’s exceptionally high standards. Congratulations Bill.”
