Stamp duty scrappage means more choice for first time buyers

First time buyers are being spoilt for choice when it comes to gaining a foothold on the housing ladder in North East Lincolnshire.
Thanks to the Government’s recent budget announcement that Stamp Duty on homes up to £250,000 will be scrapped, even more first time buyers are now able to save money on a new home.
Stamford Homes currently has numerous homes across its regional developments that fall under the threshold – ranging from three storey townhouses to four and five-bedroom detached homes.
For example, the Stamp Duty saving on a four-bedroom home costing £229,950 at the prestigious Renaissance development at New Waltham would be around £2,300.
Likewise, first time buyers will be around £1,300 better off when they buy a three-bedroom townhouse in the centre of Grimsby.
Stamford Homes regional sales director Steve Woomble said: “We’re now beginning to see the first effects of the Stamp Duty scrappage announcement, with an renewed increase in customer confidence.
“With so much choice in terms of housing styles and locations, there has never been a better time to buy.”
Stamford Homes currently has developments in Grismby, Louth, Market Rasen, Burgh Le Marsh, York and Hull.
