Skoda helps cycle teams get revved up

UK cycling teams Rapha Condor Sharp and Team Raleigh are set for success with the help of Skoda, which has provided them with support vehicles for the 2010 cycling season.

After intensive pre-season training, both teams are fit and ready to go, recently, they were handed the keys to their brand new liveried vehicles.

As Britain’s number one team, Rapha Condor Sharp is set to take the cycling circuit by storm this season and Paul Rowlands from the team, called in to the Skoda head office in Milton Keynes to thank Skoda for the company’s kind support.

“The Skoda Superb Estate is a fantastic car,” comments Paul. “It’s luxurious, stylish and most importantly, reliable, so our cycling team will have the first aid, bike repairs and assistance required as they take on races across Europe this year.

“We are extremely grateful for this support and are proud to have Skoda as part of our team.”

Hot on Rapha Condor Sharp’s heels is Team Raleigh, which is making a return to the cycling scene this year, and if pre-season practice tournaments are anything to go by, they mean serious business.  Geoff Giddings, Marketing Manager from Team Raleigh, comments: “Training has gone really well and the guys are focused and committed to achieving great results this year.  We’ve won our first pre-season races and the line up has gelled already.  Being a new team, we rely heavily on support from sponsors and Skoda has shown great confidence in us by providing us with these cars.”

The Rapha Condor Sharp team opted for two of the recently launched, award-winning Superb Estates and the guys from Raleigh chose one Superb Estate and one top of the range Octavia to accompany them on tour.
