Monarch announces new flights to Turkey

30th April 2010 Print

Award winning low fares airline Monarch is strengthening its network of scheduled flights from Birmingham, London Luton and Manchester airports with a host of new services to the key Turkish gateways of Antalya, Bodrum and Dalaman taking to the skies this week.

Serving the Mediterranean, Turquoise and Aegean coasts, which are home to the main tourist resorts of Side, Marmaris, Bodrum and Gumbet, Monarch flights start from £79 one way including taxes and charges and are available to book via monarch.co.uk.

The launch of these new services brings the total number of destinations served by the airline to 17 throughout Mainland Spain, the Canary and Balearic Islands, Portugal, Gibraltar, Cyprus and Turkey.

Commenting on the launch of new services to Turkey, managing director of Monarch flights and holidays, Tim Jeans said, “We are delighted to be expanding our network to Turkey with the launch of scheduled flights to Antalya, Bodrum and Dalaman. As a non-eurozone destination, Turkey offers fantastic value for money for holiday makers and overseas property owners and we have been overwhelmed with how well these new services have been received with almost 34,000 advanced bookings already taken.

“The onboard service offered on Monarch’s scheduled flights, which includes extra legroom seating, a great range of tasty hot and cold food and selected inflight entertainment is over and above the levels provided by most low fare airlines and is perfectly suited for longer flight sectors such as Turkey.”
