With the East London Line Extension due to open from West Croydon on the 23rd May, potential purchasers at Durkan Estate’s new development Bauhaus, will be pleased to know that they can be one of the first to benefit.

Situated a ten minute walk from West Croydon station, residents will be able to jump on the new and improved tube line to reach some of the trendiest places in the capital within minutes!

The opening of the East London Line Extension will link the economic hub of Croydon to the business centre in Canary Wharf, having a profound effect on the already vibrant and successful South London Borough.

The tube line will offer fast, efficient links to Dalston Junction and to Highbury and Islington by 2011, as well as the proposed Crossrail station at Whitechapel. London’s trendy and increasingly popular districts of Shoreditch and Hoxton with its wide selection of cool, chic bars, pubs and restaurants will be a hassle free journey away.

Kathryn Price, Development Manager at Durkan Estates comments: “Being within walking distance of the first station on the line is an attractive proposition to commuters, particularly when they are more likely to get a seat. This, along with the potential for house prices in the area to rise once the new tube line is here, is certainly a reason for buyers to snap up a new home and benefit from its potential growth.”

Bauhaus is a stunning collection of one and two bedroom apartments, three bedroom penthouses and two bedroom mews houses. The eye catching development offers fantastic views both into London and outward to the picturesque Surrey countryside. Finished to a high specification apartments come with contemporary Lemongrass kitchens with integrated stainless steel oven and ceramic hob.

Bathrooms come with Luxury Roca white sanitary ware with steel baths and over the bath shower with glazed bath screen, selected apartments have an en-suite shower room and balconies. Bauhaus also features a landscaped communal courtyard and a 10 year NHBC warranty. Secured parking is also available at an extra cost.

Over £3.5bn has already been committed to Croydon’s regeneration programme which will include upgraded transport links, a major retail centre and entertainment amenities which will rival London’s West End. Croydon has two mainline railway stations offering services to the centre of London in just 16 minutes as well as being only 15 minutes away from Gatwick Airport by train.

Prices at Bauhaus start from £155,000 for a one bedroom apartment, £195,000 for a two bedroom apartment and £260,000 for a two bedroom mews house. Interested purchasers can visit the Bauhaus marketing suite and showhome seven days a week from 10am to 5pm.
