If, like David Cameron, moving home is top on your agenda this summer, but you are struggling to find the large deposits typically required to purchase a new home, then Miller Homes may just have the answer.

The award-winning housebuilder’s Miway initiative, designed to help first time buyers in the East Ardsley area, is a shared equity scheme that enables purchasers to take a confident step on to the property ladder.

Under Miway, buyers will own 100% of their property but pay from only 85% of the price now and 15% later. Customers can arrange their own finance for 85% of the purchase price and Miller Homes will provide a loan for the remaining 15%, secured by a second mortgage. After 10 years or when you sell or transfer your home, you simply pay back 15% of your home’s market value in one payment at that time. 0% for the first five years, 3% interest rate for the next five years.

“MiWay is a great way to help those, who want to take that step onto the property ladder, purchase a brand new home at an affordable price,” said Ross Clarkson senior sales adviser Miller Homes Yorkshire. “It is proving to be a hugely popular scheme and is currently available on all remaining apartments at our Stonebridge Fold development.”

Most apartments at Stonebridge Fold in East Ardsley - which start with a Miway price from just £64,175 for one bedroom and Miway price of just £84,575 for a two bedroom - boast airy, open plan living areas with a large integrated kitchen, a spacious master bedroom with fitted wardrobes and a contemporary bathroom. Selected plots have the added luxury of a Juliet balcony with French doors. The properties also have the added benefits of fully fitted carpets and an integrated washer/dryer.

Furthermore, anyone visiting Stonebridge Fold, will also have the chance to enter Miller Homes’ birthday bonanza, which runs until 22 May. There are eight holidays up for grabs in the spring competition with the Yorkshire region guaranteed one of the holidays which means someone could be swapping East Ardsley for Egypt at some point this summer.

Better still, the holiday winner will have the chance to walk away with £7,500 in the second phase of the campaign which goes live in June, giving all visitors to millerhomes.co.uk the opportunity to vote for their preferred winner, and the chance to scoop an iPod Shuffle – just by taking part.

To discover how MiWay can help you visit Stonebridge Fold in East Ardsley, just two miles from the centre of Wakefield and only six miles from Leeds. The sales centre and showhome are open Thursday – Monday, 10.30am to 5.30pm.
