The first Celebrity ‘Hand-Me-Down’ charity auction is to run from the 23rd to 30th May. The auction will give mums the chance to share in the magical moments celebrities have spent with their children, by bidding for some of their prized baby possessions.

As part of the auction, Johnson’s Baby is giving real mums the chance to bid on celebrity inspired packages including a baby bath from Geri Halliwell and a special blanket from Melanie C. Mums will also have the chance to bid on items donated by Edith Bowman, Sophie Ellis Bextor, Tamzin Outhwaite, Alex Gerrard, Natasha Hamilton and Sarah Beeny.

Research from Johnson’s Baby to find out real mums’ most magical moments has revealed that over half of mums and their newborns share their first magical moment when they touched for the first time, whilst 19% of mums said it was the first time their baby smiled at them.

All of the money raised from the auction will go to Tommy’s, the baby charity.

One in four women loses a baby every year and the charity wants to give every baby the best chance of being born healthy.  The charity has been set up to fund medical research into the causes of premature birth, stillbirth and miscarriage, and provide a free information service that educates all parents-to-be about health in pregnancy.

In the following WebTV Show, Natasha Hamilton and Karen Wint, Director of Fundraising from Tommy’s will be discussing what makes motherhood magical, the auction and why they are supporting Tommy’s, the baby charity.

Natasha Hamilton will be live online at: webchats.tv/show/celebrity_hand_me_down_auction on 24th May at 2.30pm to discuss the Johnson’s Baby Celebrity Hand-Me-Down Auction.

To be in with the chance of winning one of these exclusive and sentimental items, the charity auction will run from 7:00pm on 23rd May 2010 until 7:00pm on 30th May 2010 at ebay.co.uk/johnsonsbaby.
