First time buyers looking for an affordable home of their own in Bingham should act fast if they want to take advantage of a Government-backed scheme.

HomeBuy Direct is available on a limited number of properties at Redrow’s Mill Hill development in the Nottinghamshire market town. It means a stylish new home can be bought for a fraction of the normal cost.

Catherine Cloke, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (Midlands), said: “HomeBuy Direct offers eligible customers the opportunity to take out an equity loan of up to 30% of the purchase price of a brand new home.

“It’s the smart way for first time buyers to step onto the property ladder and invest in a stylish new home at a price they can afford. But those who want to take advantage of this valuable help must act fast as it’s only available on selected properties and they must be legally complete by September.”

With HomeBuy Direct a three-bedroom ‘Euxton’ style property, priced at £189,995, could be yours for an initial outlay of just £132,996. It boasts a generous open plan living/dining area and, upstairs, there’s a spacious en-suite master bedroom complemented by two further bedrooms and a family bathroom.

“HomeBuy Direct is all about giving first time buyers the opportunity to take that first and often tricky step onto the property ladder. Because they receive an equity loan of up to 30%, which is interest free for the first five years, purchasers should only need a relatively small deposit and to apply for a mortgage with a maximum loan-to-value of 70%.

“This will generally give them access to much improved mortgage interest rates without the need for a large cash deposit,” Catherine explained.

HomeBuy Direct is open to people with an annual household income of less than £60,000, including first time buyers and those re-entering the property market following a change in circumstances, e.g. divorce or the breakdown of a relationship.

“All Redrow homes feature contemporary kitchens with central islands and floor to ceiling units and sleek bathroom suites with quality fixtures and fittings,” Catherine commented. “Not only can our customers relax in the style and comfort of a brand new home, but they’ll also enjoy peace of mind, knowing that it’s covered by a 10-year ‘Buildmark’ guarantee.”

Mill Hill is set in a desirable rural location on the edge of the Vale of Belvoir, an area of outstanding natural beauty yet is only nine miles from Nottingham.
