Leading house-builder Taylor Wimpey is providing an extra boost for community spirit in Norfolk by sponsoring a day of fun marking European Neighbours’ Day.

The Fun Day event for the communities of Bowthorpe and Costessey near Norwich takes place at Bowthorpe Youth and Community Centre, Bowthorpe Hall Road, Bowthorpe, on Saturday 29th May from midday until 4pm.

Representatives from Taylor Wimpey’s The Hampdens, Hunters Park and Queens Hills developments in Costessey, will be joining in the fun, as well as handing out goodies and speaking to visitors about the range of properties being built as part of the growing community on the western fringes of Norwich.

Taylor Wimpey East Anglia Sales and Marketing Director, Stacy Dornan, says: “The idea behind Neighbours Day is to bring communities together and have lots of fun, and this is exactly what’s in store at our local event.

“As we’re responsible for creating some great new communities in and around Norwich, Taylor Wimpey is very much behind the idea of helping people to settle in to this beautiful part of the world, and to get to know their neighbours.”

Entertainment at the Fun Day includes fire eating, circus skills demonstrations, a 25ft megaslide, free face painting, T-shirt graffiti and much more.

The event is organised by Cotman Housing Association, with assistance from the local community and Taylor Wimpey, Orbit East, South Norfolk Council, Saffron Housing Trust, Norwich City Council, Broadland Housing, Guinness Trust and Flagship.
