Lincolnshire family step onto property ladder with Redrow

Tired of wasting money on rent, Hayley Coggle decided to invest in her family’s future with a brand new Redrow home.

“I looked at second hand properties, but while the prices seemed good they needed a lot of work doing to them. I visited Redrow’s Fox’s Fold venture in Barton-upon-Humber and really liked the fact that the kitchen and bathrooms were fully fitted and everything was covered by a guarantee,” Hayley explained.

Single mum Hayley liked the layout of the three-bedroom, semi-detached ‘Euxton’ so much that she bought the property off plan.

“I wasn’t entirely sure how big it would be, but I’m really chuffed. My sons settled in really quickly. They love their new rooms,” Hayley said.

“We rented our old home privately but had nothing to show for the money and couldn’t adapt it as we would have liked. The monthly mortgage repayments are a lot cheaper than the rent we were paying and because it’s our own home we can change things if we want to. It’s also energy efficient, which means it’s cheaper to run than where we used to live.”

Patsy Aicken, sales manager for Redrow Homes (Yorkshire), said: “Many people renting dream of owning their own home but are under the misconception that it’s beyond their means. As Hayley discovered, investing in a property could actually save money in the long-run and its value could even increase.”

Fox’s Fold currently features a selection of three and four-bedroom terraced, semi and detached homes from just £136,995 and also has some three and four-bedroom detached homes from Redrow’s New Heritage Collection, priced from £149,995.
