What a charitable result!

Whilst the outcome of the World Cup games, so far, haven’t been what Capello’s boys had hoped for, one result that has scored highly in the West Midlands is The Tipton’s latest round of Charitable Foundation donations which has seen eight local causes collectively net £8,320.

Twice a year a panel of Society staff and members of the local community come together to allocate funds from The Tipton’s Charitable Foundation and this year, the Foundation will donate more than £10,000 to health and education community based charities in the West Midlands.

Local concerns to have benefited from The Tipton’s Charitable Foundation’s recent donations include:

- Barnardos
- Bilston Methodist Church
- Birmingham Community Foundation
- Cares Sandwell
- Tipton Christian Church
- Tipton Education Fund
- Tipton Green Primary School
- Tipton Youth Project

John Miller, director, general manager and secretary at The Tipton, said: “Many of the charitable organisations we support are heavily reliant on financial help from the local community. We are committed in helping these concerns wherever possible and it’s really gratifying to know that we are making such a positive difference across the region.”

Tipton and Coseley Building Society is based in Tipton and operates from four branches in Tipton, Coseley, Bilston and Sedgley. Firmly committed to remaining a mutual organisation, it offers local people a comprehensive range of financial services including competitive savings, mortgage and insurance products.
