A 'Chorus' of approval for new homes in Wimbledon

The high style of Chorus is so seductive that it can make homeowners change their plans completely. At least, that’s the experience of one happy buyer, who has just moved in to a two-bedroom apartment in Durkan’s chic development in Wimbledon.
“I never planned to buy a new place,” Crispin Hay says; “I had ambitious plans to extend my one-bedroom flat in Wimbledon, which would have made it extremely desirable. But my mother saw an advertisement for Chorus and suggested I take a look. I was bowled over by the beautiful finish, the attention to detail and, especially, the huge kitchen/living room, which has dual aspect views and an L-shaped balcony. And I realised that extending my flat would open up a black hole of time, trouble and money. Buying at Chorus has been a much cheaper option.”
“The flat is on the fifth floor, so there are amazing views over London – I can see the London Eye and the Gherkin from my windows. And in addition to my balcony there is also a communal roof terrace, so although Chorus is in the middle of Wimbledon, I have access to more outside space than many other developments in less central locations.”
Crispin, 44, who is a therapist with Allen Carr’s Easy Way to Stop Smoking in Raynes Park, paid £475,000 for his new home. The apartment has two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a large hall – “a room in itself,” says Crispin; “I’ll probably use it as a study.”
Chorus is in an enviable position in the heart of Wimbledon, which offers a superb selection of shops, restaurants and cafes. Just behind the stylish development is Wimbledon’s South Park Gardens conservation area with its beautiful landscaped parkland.
Each apartment is finished to a high standard with a keen eye on the design details you look for in a modern home. The bespoke kitchens include stone worktops and De-Dietrich appliances, including an oven, ceramic hob, stainless steel hood and integrated fridge/freezer and dishwasher.
Bathrooms feature Roca sanitaryware with steel baths, ceramic tiles, heated chrome towel rails and vanity mirrors. There are carpets in all the bedrooms and walnut hardwood veneer flooring in the halls, living rooms and kitchens. In the hallways there are large cupboards concealing a washer/dryer – ideal for keeping noise out of the living area. Nearly all apartments have outside space and each one has a video entry system plus the option of secure parking at an additional cost.
Wimbledon Common is within walking distance and Wimbledon station provides easy access into town with regular trains to Vauxhall (for the Victoria line), Clapham Junction and London Waterloo, and District line services linking with the underground network.
Prices for apartments at Chorus start from £425,000 for a two bedroom apartment. For further information or to book an appointment to visit the stunning show home, visit: chorus-wimbledon.co.uk
