With properties in Long Stratton and Wymondham remaining on the market for an average of 193 days , local homeowners are now facing the prospect of being unable to move home until winter 2010 in spite of efforts to secure their dream home this summer.

“Once you’ve made the decision to move, it’s only natural to want to be in your new surroundings as quickly as possible, so moving up the property ladder can prove quite stressful for many,” states Jon Gibbs, sales director for Persimmon Homes Anglia.

He adds: “Unfortunately for the thousands of local homeowners with a property now on the market, the aim of starting spending summer in a brand new home is simply no longer realistic.”

There is good news for househunters in the Long Stratton area though as Persimmon Homes Anglia is offering to part exchange purchasers’ existing properties at The Limes development in the village. This eradicates lengthy waiting times as the average time it takes to complete through part exchange is just four weeks.

Currently available for immediate occupation through part exchange is the stunning five bedroom Highrove and Kenton housetypes, which are just perfect for growing families and executives. Both housetypes are priced from £279,950.

Alternative housetypes available where Part Exchange may be considered include a beautiful three bedroom bungalow priced from £195,250, and the four bedroom Richmond family home which starts from £208,950.

The Limes is located in the thriving town of Long Stratton, which provides a wide variety of amenities including a supermarket, shops, schools and healthcare facilities. Long Stratton is ideally situated on the A140 for both Norwich and Ipswich, which both offer an abundance of facilities and leisure pursuits.

If you’d like to find out more about the properties at The Limes, please contact the marketing suite, open Thursday to Sunday from 10.30am to 5.30pm and on Monday from 11.30am to 5.30pm.
