Seat’s summer offers keep the heat on the competition

SEAT is unveiling a plethora of stunning summer offers across the bulk of its growing range of sporty, dynamic models as the Spanish brand looks to build on a solid first six months of 2010.

The extensive suite of new car deals – which includes not-to-be-missed discounts off new SEAT RRPs, the option of low rate finance offers or free servicing bundles – is designed to support SEAT’s push for an even larger slice of the UK new car market.

To the end of June this year SEAT had registered more than 17,300 new cars – an increase of more than 26%, or 3,600-plus, on the same period in 2009 – to grab a record 1.6% share of the market.

Retail sales are up significantly, despite the continued uncertain economic climate, but it is the Brand’s fleet and business sales performance that’s continuing to produce the most exceptional numbers.  In the first half of this year sales have soared by nearly 40% as the revitalised SEAT UK fleet sales team continues its outstanding roll.

Now the Spanish firm is turning the screw on its competitors with a package of sensational retail deals that include limited-time price reductions of up to £2,000, highly attractive finance plans or the option of free servicing deals on certain models.

The tantalising offers cover almost every model in the sporty car maker’s exciting range, meaning any would-be buyer should find a model that perfectly suits both their taste and their budget.

Head of Operations at SEAT UK, Richard Harrison, explained: ‘Ahead of the traditional sales surge in September our dealers are expecting a really busy summer as we’ve pulled out all the stops to produce a series of fabulous offers that make owning one of our  models even more affordable.

‘We have worked really hard to ensure there are savings to be had across the range.  This means that anyone on the look-out for a new car will find a great deal on everything from our stylish Ibiza supermini to the popular Leon family hatchback and luxurious Exeo executive saloon or estate.’

As part of SEAT’s array of tempting summer savings selected Ibiza models bought before the end of July will see their recommended retail price drop by a nice, round £1,000; while £1,500 is being cut from the price of many Leon, Altea and Altea XL models.

And the reductions get even bigger as the proportions of the models increase, with £2,000 shaved off the RRP of the luxurious Exeo executive saloon and Exeo ST estate, and a fantastic £2,000 cut from the price of the seven-seat Alhambra MPV.

Meanwhile, anyone buying a new Exeo saloon or Exeo ST estate during the same period – and not selecting any other offer – will qualify for three years’ free servicing for the car in SEAT’s state-of-the-art dealership workshops nationwide.

Customers not opting for the RRP discounts can, instead, take advantage of highly attractive 0% finance rates on a number of the most popular and desirable SEATs, including ‘Sport’ versions of every model in the range, and the equipment-laden Ibiza Good Stuff special edition.

And for those who prefer the idea of Personal Contract Purchase as a means of financing their new car, SEAT is also offering a selection of great rate PCP products with a headline figure of 8.9% APR.

What’s more – and for a limited time only – anyone opting for selected super-frugal Ecomotive models will continue to benefit from SEAT’s successful Eco-bonus scheme which offers up to £2,000 off the recommended retail price.  This means an entry-level Leon 1.6 TDI CR S Ecomotive, which normally retails at an already impressive £16,840, could be driven away for just £15,090.

These retail-only offers are available at participating SEAT dealers nationwide, and finance will be made available subject to status – terms and conditions apply.

Welcoming the impressive sales performance thus far in 2010 Head of SEAT UK, Peter Wyhinny, said: ‘SEAT’s success in continuing to grow its share of what remains, undeniably, a tough market underlines how appealing our current line-up of cars really is.

‘And I’m confident we can look forward to further success as our dealers welcome models such as the stylish Ibiza ST and all-new Alhambra into their showrooms over the coming weeks and months.’
