One of the most widely-used home buying incentives, the 70 per cent shared equity HomeBuy Direct scheme, is coming to a close in just a few weeks, which is why leading homebuilder Persimmon Homes South Midlands is urging househunters in Malvern to register their interest as soon as possible before they potentially miss out.

“HomeBuy Direct has been an invaluable tool for those earning a household income of less than £60,000 as a way of achieving property ownership,” comments Alison Reading, sales director for Persimmon Homes South Midlands. She adds “The allocation of HomeBuy Direct properties on the North phase of our Malvern Vale development will finish in September, meaning those looking to buy through the scheme will have to register their interest in July at the latest.”

Through HomeBuy Direct, Persimmon’s purchasers initially pay for just 70 per cent of the market value of their chosen home, with the remaining 30 per cent seen as a loan from Persimmon and the Government, which is interest and repayment free for the first five years.

Currently still available through the scheme is the popular three bedroom detached Blacksmith housetype, which on the open market is priced at £199,995 or through HomeBuy Direct is available for just £139,997.

Alison concludes: “As a Group Persimmon has assisted over 2,000 new homeowners with the shared equity incentive, and in the Essex region alone we have supported over 250 purchasers.

“There are just three properties remaining with HomeBuy Direct and our competitive prices at Malvern Vale coupled with the beautiful housetypes available means purchasing with us is not just an attractive proposition but an affordable one too.”

One lucky Blacksmith purchaser will also have the added bonus as plot 746 comes complete with carpets throughout and turf to the rear garden.

Malvern Vale is situated at the foothills of the Malverns in Leigh Sinton Road, a short drive from Worcester, and offers good access to the M5.

For those who are interested in the housetypes at Malvern Vale, the development is open daily from 10am to 5pm.
