SEAT is celebrating after scooping the award for best Manufacturer Partner at the fifth annual Supplier Awards presented by Motability Operations – the company which operates the Motability car, powered wheelchair and scooter scheme.

Recognising the people and businesses who deliver outstanding choice, excellence and customer satisfaction to more than half a million Motability customers, the Supplier Awards cover all areas of the Motability Operations business.

Awards range from Motability Sales Specialist – as voted for by customers – to best Manufacturer Partner and best Dealer Group.

Mike Betts, chief executive, Motability Operations, explained: ‘The Supplier Awards are an opportunity for us to offer sincere thanks to the people who deliver fantastic results for both our customers and our business.

‘In 2009 Motability achieved the highest ever levels in customer satisfaction.  The last year would not have been possible without the support and partnership of our dedicated suppliers and business partners.’

An increase in the number of SEAT dealerships offering Motability helped secure this award win at the Supplier Awards, as did SEAT’s support of new eco-models available at really low prices for Motability customers.

Judges also commended the proactive marketing and advertising campaigns working cooperatively with Motability Operations.

SEAT’s prestigious Manufacturer Partner accolade – awarded in the case of the Spanish car maker for registrations up to 10,000 – was one of 13 categories awarded at the event.  In addition to the winners, a series of commended awards were also distributed in each category.

Nick Andrews, SEAT UK’s Head of Fleet and Business Sales, said: ‘It’s with great pride that we celebrate winning the Manufacturer Partner Award at the Motability Operations Supplier Awards.

‘The achievement is testament to the efforts of my whole team, and the SEAT dealer network, in delivering customer excellence and we look forward to continuing to work with Motability Operations in the future.’

He added: ‘Securing this prestigious award is not only a coup for us as a team, and a company, but also shows that the steps we are taking to become a fleet manufacturer of choice are paying real, tangible dividends.’

SEAT’s sporty, stylish and engaging range of vehicles is proving increasingly popular with Motability customers nationwide and, with really competitive Motability rates on offer it’s not hard to see why.

Currently, SEAT’s svelte Leon 1.6 TDI S is available with a zero advance payment.  So, too, is the capacious yet super-frugal Altea 1.6 TDI Ecomotive S.  Meanwhile the even larger Altea XL 1.6 TDI Ecomotive S is on offer to qualifying Motability customers with an advance payment of just £199.

The Motability Operations Supplier Awards took place at a business lunch on 16 July at Brocket Hall in Hertfordshire, hosted by BBC newsreader Huw Edwards.

Motability Operations manages the worry-free car, powered wheelchair and scooter scheme for disabled people and their families.

Anyone who receives the Higher Rate Mobility Component of the Disability Living Allowance or the War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement can exchange this monthly payment for a brand new car, powered wheelchair or scooter through Motability.
