Redrow goes back to school in Altrincham

School children in Altrincham are learning about their local area with help from Redrow Homes.

The award-winning house builder has donated a site model of its Stamford Brook development in Altrincham to Broadheath Primary School.

Elaine Mounsey, sales manager for Redrow Homes (NW), said: “At Redrow we don’t just build new homes, we want to be good neighbours and part of the community. The homes at Stamford Brook are built on land that once formed part of the National Trust’s Dunham Massey estate and the site model reflects how we have made good use of that land to provide quality built homes.

“Broadheath Primary School is just a short distance away from Stamford Brook and local children will no doubt have seen the homes we have built - some may even live there. The site model will help give them a sense of perspective, enabling them to perhaps pick out where they or their friends live and understand more about their local geography.”

Head teacher Jan Dyson said: “The site model will be a useful education resource for the school. It will be used to teach children about the geography of the local area but will also help them develop a sense of spatial awareness.”

A new wave of starter homes has just been released for sale at Stamford Brook, with prices starting from £69,995 for a two-bedroom property.

While the average new build home is 40% more efficient than one built just 10 years ago, the homes at Stamford Brook are designed to be even more efficient again in their use of energy, water and building materials.

The development will eventually boast seven hectares of community woodland, wildlife corridors, walkways and cycle paths, orchards and open spaces.

For more information about the homes available at Stamford Brook, visit the sales office, open daily from 10am to 5.30pm.
