Baby boom for Barratt in Hetton-le-Hole

27th July 2010 Print

There's a baby boom at Barratt North East’s Lyons Park in Hetton-le-Hole, where young families are discovering it’s the ideal place for their children to grow up.

There are already four babies under 10 months at the development and another is due this month.

And sales adviser Karen Swallow says: “There are so many babies and young children now living here I think we’ll have to start a mothers and toddlers group!

“There are lots of young families who have moved in and the place is developing into a real community. It’s a nice area to bring up children, and there are good local schools on the doorstep.

“More than half of the homes at the development have sold in just over 12 months, it’s very popular.”

Emma Holyoak, who has a ten-month-old son, Lewis, said: “It’s a great place to live. Everyone is very friendly and Lewis will have plenty of playmates.”

One of the latest buyers to move in is mum-to-be Nicole Elliott, who is expecting a boy in two weeks’ time.

She said: “I’m really pleased to have moved here. The schools near the development get really good reports and it will be nice to have a crowd of children around the same age growing up together.”

Barratt is building a mix of 2, 3 and 4-bedroom homes at Lyons Park at prices ranging from £116,000 up to £179,995 for a 4-bedroom townhouse.

Showhomes and the sales centre are open from 10.00am to 5.00pm daily.
