First-time buyers looking to settle in Newport will find a stunning new home is within reach when they visit David Wilson Homes’ Carisbrooke Grange.

And the housebuilder is providing the perfect opportunity to help buyers take their first step on to the property ladder at this stunning development by offering the popular HomeBuy Direct.

“We know how tough it can be for buyers to put the finances in place before making that first move in to the property market,” said David Wilson Homes sales director, Mark Docherty.

“That’s why we offer HomeBuy Direct. But the scheme is due to end soon – so buyers will need to be quick and reserve a new home by the end of July if they want to take advantage of it and complete by the September deadline.”

There are just two houses remaining under HomeBuy Direct. The Kingsbury design is a three bedroom link-detached house offering a spacious living room with french doors leading out to the garden. The good size hall leads to a fully fitted kitchen and separate dining area suitable for all occasions. Upstairs the master bedroom comes with modern ensuite facilities – including shower. Outside, the home offers a garage and parking space.

“We have two of these delightful homes to offer under HomeBuy Direct,” said Mark Docherty. “The first is £228,000. That’s just £159,000 under the scheme. And the other is priced at £220,000 – or £154,000 if you are buying with HomeBuy Direct.”

Those seeking an eye-catching new apartment can also take advantage of the scheme – which reduces the sought after new homes from £140,000 to just £94,000.

“We are delighted to be able to offer HomeBuy Direct at Carisbrooke Grange for a short time longer,’’ said Mark Docherty. “This scheme has proved extremely successful in this area in helping first time buyers in terms of affordability and we expect high levels of interest in these outstanding new homes.”

The scheme provides eligible buyers with an equity loan of up to 30 per cent, jointly funded by David Wilson Homes and the government’s Homes and Communities Agency, making getting on the property ladder accessible for so many who think they are currently priced out of the market. Buyers must have at least five per cent of the 70 per cent purchase price to use as a deposit.

Carisbrooke Grange is situated in a convenient position to the west of Newport. The area is an ideal location for all age groups as it offers a wealth of amenities and easy links to the mainland. Over half of the island is designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty.
