A lucky break for the retired army colonel sees her discover her dream home at Taylor Wimpey’s Pinnacles development of Woking flats.

It was purely by chance that Vicky Wellington discovered Pinnacles – and after finding her ideal new home at the exclusive Taylor Wimpey development of new homes in Woking, she is certainly glad that she did!

Having decided to downsize from her previous four-bedroom townhouse, Vicky (52) knew exactly what she wanted in a new home, but her search for comfortable ground-floor flats in Woking initially proved fruitless.

One day, however, as she was returning from another unsuccessful property viewing, she happened to spot Taylor Wimpey flags fluttering above the secluded Pinnacles development of flats for sale in Woking, set within the tree-lined grounds of St Peter’s Convent, Maybury Hill.

An impulse decision prompted the retired Army Medical Services colonel to investigate further – and her search for the perfect property for sale in Woking was brought to a quick and happy conclusion.

“I’d been looking at two-bedroom apartments in Woking for a few weeks, but nothing I’d seen was suitable,” recalls Vicky.

“I was literally just leaving one property I had viewed and was driving along Maybury Hill when I saw the Pinnacles site. Even from the outside, I liked the look of it and I was curious to find out more.

“I visited the Sales Information Centre where I was treated to a virtual tour of the new apartments and shown around the showhome. They had just the apartment I was looking for and, from that moment, I’ve never looked back!”

For Vicky, the appeal of the Pinnacles development was not just its convenient location, within easy reach of Woking town centre yet enjoying picturesque and peaceful gated surroundings.

“Everything is perfect for me – I love the seclusion and security of the gated community and the contemporary design of the apartments is really appealing,” she says.

“And despite the fact that most of the homes are not yet built at Pinnacles, there is already a really warm and welcoming feeling that gives the place its own sense of community.”

The ground-floor, two-bedroom ‘Croft’ apartment Vicky reserved at the development is ideal for her needs, with a spacious interior layout and high-quality finish plus secure undercroft parking and a private terrace where she can enjoy warm summer evenings and her pet dog, Daisy, can stretch her legs.

By reserving her new home off plan, Vicky has been able to choose from a host of interior Options – including flooring, carpets, kitchen units, appliances, accessories, curtains and blinds – to ensure it is completed to her personal specifications.

The anticipation is now building ahead of her move, which is scheduled for February 2011.

“It’s still a few months away but I know it’s going to be worth the wait,” she adds. “I’m really looking forward to it!”

A superb selection of stunning two-bedroom ‘Croft’ apartments is currently available to reserve at Pinnacles, with prices starting from just £219,995, ranging to £345,995 for an exclusive penthouse.

Each new home boasts a spacious living/dining room and open-plan kitchen, a large master bedroom, a good-sized second bedroom and a main bathroom located off the internal entrance hallway, plus allocated undercroft parking.

Most apartments benefit from en-suite facilities to master bedrooms and selected plots enjoy private balconies to living areas.

Each home is completed to an excellent standard specification, including a secure audio entry system, double-glazing, individually-designed Symphony kitchens with integrated appliances, AEG oven, hob and stainless steel hood, and Pilkington ceramic tiles in the kitchens and bathrooms.

Enjoying an enviable location on the edge of picturesque open countryside, Pinnacles is within easy reach of central London and Woking’s railway station is less than a mile from home, offering frequent and fast services to Waterloo. The M25, M3 and A3 are all close by and Heathrow Airport is just a short drive away.

Woking itself boasts a wealth of choice for shopping, entertainment and leisure, with two modern shopping centres, a multi-screen cinema, the New Victoria Theatre, first-class sporting facilities and a multitude of restaurants, pubs and bars.

To find out more about the selection of ‘Croft’ apartments now available at Pinnacles, would-be movers can visit the Sales Information Centre at St Peter’s Convent, Maybury Hill, Woking, open seven days a week from 10.30am to 5.30pm.
