Final chance to buy Miller in Burton

5th August 2010 Print

All prospective first-time buyers in Burton-on-Trent are being urged onto the property ladder with Miller Homes’ shared equity scheme Mi Way before it’s too late.

Abbeyfields has enjoyed a continuing high level of success this year and, as a result, there are only two properties remaining at the development , which can be purchased with the MiWay initiative.

Linda Androlia, regional sales director for Miller Homes West Midlands, said: “Following recent announcements made by the government, the property market remains a tough scene for those looking to purchase their first home. Buyers are frantically saving every penny in the hope of being able to invest in the near future.”

“Miller Homes West Midlands would like to offer all eligible a helping hand allowing first time buyers the opportunity to purchase their home with the assistance of MiWay. Due to the popularity of this scheme, we urge all interested to come to the development and register their interest as soon as possible. With a whole host of properties to choose from, now is the perfect time to buy a new home.”

Recent budget cut announcements have led to the shared equity scheme gaining further appeal as the MiWay initiative acts as the ideal option for those on the hunt for a helping hand.

Anyone earning a household income of under £60,000 may be viable for the MiWay initiative, allowing them the opportunity to own a brand new home by paying from just 85 percent of its value, with Miller Homes funding the remaining 15 percent.

Linda Androlia, regional sales and marketing director, added: “We want to reassure all prospective househunters that there are still options available to aid those looking for a home. One of the benefits of the scheme is the beauty of owning your home from day one, which isn’t the case with some of the other initiatives. Buyers need to know that there are options such as MiWay available that offer an alternative method of funding, helping to avoid the potential pitfall of having to raise a large deposit.”

The remaining properties are plot 35 - a two-bedroom apartment priced at £92,950 or £79,008 through the MiWay scheme - and plot 3, The Tutbury, a three-bedroom house priced at £139,950 or £118,958 through the MiWay initiative.
