The leading housebuilder has unveiled Dovedale Park, a brand new collection of houses for sale in Swadlincote, Derbyshire.

Visitors flocked to the opening of Dovedale Park, Taylor Wimpey’s inspirational new development of property for sale in Swadlincote, which opened on the weekend of Saturday 31st July and Sunday 1st August.

The new homes in Derbyshire attracting a great deal of attention include the delightful four-bedroom detached ‘Draycott’, priced from just £171,995 and proving particularly popular with families and executive couples seeking a bigger or better property.

Meanwhile, interest in the three-bedroom ‘Barwell’ £130,500 and ‘Croxton’ £134,000 houses– is running high with first-time buyers and young families in search of new builds in Swadlincote.

Daniel McGowan, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “The launch of Dovedale Park was well attended by local homebuyers and people from across the county and the surrounding areas, and we have already experienced a great deal of interest in the new homes at this stunning development of houses for sale in Derbyshire.

“Now that Dovedale Park is open five days a week – Thursday to Monday from 11am to 5pm – we’re urging those keen to find a great-value new home with plenty of character and distinction to come along to take a look for themselves!”

The four-bedroom ‘Draycott’ features a large lounge with attractive bay window to the front, a light and airy dining room opening through French doors to the rear garden and a contemporary fitted kitchen, while a handy guest cloakroom can be found off the entrance hallway.

Upstairs, the landing leads to a gorgeous en-suite master bedroom, three further bedrooms and a main bathroom.

Outside there is a single garage, and like all new homes at Dovedale Park the ‘Draycott’ is being built to a high standard specification including energy-efficient central heating and double glazing, plus a fitted kitchen complete with oven, hob and hood.

Those reserving their new home early can select finishing touches for their new home from Taylor Wimpey’s Options range, which includes smart flooring and plush carpets through to beautiful lighting, kitchen units, granite worktops and integrated appliances.

Dovedale Park nestles amid stunning landscaped grounds, in an area which has benefited from the planting of 20,000 trees, grasslands and ponds.

The development lies to the south of Woodville village on the outskirts of Swadlincote and in the heart of the National Forest, with woodland trails on the doorstep.

Woodville offers a convenient range of local shops, a post office, schools and a selection of restaurants within walking distance of the new homes, while the development will also be served by new bus services, cycleway routes and a new link road to the south, along with traffic-free pedestrian networks.

Swadlincote town centre is just under two miles away and provides a wealth of shops, restaurants, bars, parks and leisure facilities including Swadlincote Ski and Snowboard Centre and Sharpe's Pottery Centre, a visitor centre based on the town's pottery heritage.

The town is well served by schools for children of all ages, while commuters will appreciate the M42, M6 and M1 are close by and direct rail services operate from Burton upon Trent railway station to Birmingham and Nottingham.

Great family days out within easy reach include Conkers Discovery Centre, within two miles of the development, while the beautiful National Trust Calke Abbey and its National Nature Reserve are only six miles away. Further afield, the delights of the Peak District are within 30 miles.

Dovedale Park is located off Woodville Road, Swadlincote, DE11 7DW and the Sales Centre is now open Thursday to Monday from 11am until 5pm.
