Monarch extends online check-in

Award-winning low fares airline Monarch has extended its successful online check-in facility, with the service now being available to customers travelling on scheduled flights up to 18 days prior to travel.

Monarch customers travelling on scheduled flights can now check in for flights from the comfort of their own home via the airline’s website, monarch.co.uk from 18 days up to 4.5 hours prior to departure.

Commenting on the extension of Monarch’s online check-in service, Managing Director of Monarch Airlines, Tim Jeans said “We have seen overwhelming demand for online check-in, with over 20% of scheduled customers taking advantage of the service, in order to spend less time queuing at the airport.

“It is fantastic that we have now been able to extend our online check-in facility from seven days to 18 days prior to travel, which will allow customers on a 14 night trip to check-in for both their outbound and return flights, and print off all their boarding passes prior to leaving the UK.”

Online check-in can be used by all passengers with pre-allocated seats travelling on Monarch’s scheduled flights from/to Birmingham, Gatwick, Luton and Manchester airports. If seats have not been pre-allocated at the time of booking, this can be done during the check-in process with standard pre-book charges starting from £7.50. Alternatively, extra legroom seats, which offer an extra six inches of space, can be booked from only £15 per flight.
