People looking for a new home in Altrincham can make an informed choice about the right property for them with a visit to the stylish new show homes at The Elms at Stamford Brook.

Redrow research found that those looking to buy a new home billed show homes as ‘very important’ or even ‘essential’, with some customers saying they were unable to picture a house without one.

And at Stamford Brook buyers will have plenty to choose from with a trio of professionally dressed, fully furnished show homes opening this weekend (August 28/29).

Elaine Mounsey, sales manager for Redrow Homes (NW), said: “While some people have the confidence to buy ‘off plan’, others says they can’t visualise the layout without viewing a show home and see it as essential to establish the quality and finish of the properties.

“Customers like to imagine themselves living in a show home and many choose to replicate the look that our teams of professional interior designers have created.”

With a two-bedroom ‘Fern’, three-bedroom ‘Derwent’ and four-bedroom ‘Mendip’, the show homes offer something to inspire almost every type of buyer – from those starting out in their first home or starting over after a change in circumstances, to growing families in search of extra space.

Designed over three floors, the ‘Derwent’ features an open-plan kitchen / dining room with French doors leading out to the garden to help bring the outside in, plus a separate lounge to the ground floor. There’s a generous master bedroom with en-suite and built-in wardrobes on the first floor, along with two further bedrooms and a family bathroom. There’s an optional fourth bedroom in the converted roofspace, a peaceful ‘away from it all’ space which would also make an ideal home office or study.

The ‘Mendip’ is also designed over three floors, with a combined kitchen / breakfast room plus separate dining room on the ground floor. The generous lounge and master bedroom with en-suite, built-in wardrobes and French windows to a Juliet balcony can be found on the first floor, with three further bedrooms and a family bathroom on the top level.

“Homes designed over three floors offer a degree of flexibility to your living arrangements,” Elaine commented.

“As the kitchen of the ‘Mendip’ includes a breakfast area you may choose to forgo a separate dining room in favour of having a sitting room on the ground floor or to utilise the space as a play room or home office.”

All Redrow homes boast fashionable kitchens with floor to ceiling units and top brand name appliances, plus modern bathrooms with quality fixtures and fittings and examples of the different finishes are displayed in the show homes.

Prices at Stamford Brook start from £164,995 for a two-bedroom ‘Fern’, similar to the show home.

There’s an added incentive to owning a new home at Stamford brook. Buyers could find that they save money on running costs as, while the average new home is 40% more efficient than one built just 10 years ago, properties at Stamford Brook are designed to be even more efficient again in their use of energy, water and building materials.

The homes are built on land that once formed part of the National Trust’s Dunham Massey estate and will eventually boast seven hectares of community woodland, wildlife corridors, walkways and cycle paths, orchards and open spaces.

With a Waitrose supermarket nearby, residents can shop locally for their groceries; while the Trafford Centre is just a short distance away for those who want to indulge in some more extensive retail therapy and Manchester city centre is easily reached by public transport.

To experience the new show homes for yourself, visit Stamford Brook, open daily from 10am to 5.30pm from Saturday, August 28th.
