Yvonne Thomson is on top of the world thanks to Miller Homes and its MiWay initiative. Yvonne has signed up for a brand new apartment at Miller Homes @ The Rock in Bury where she has just landed herself yet another promotion at work.
Yvonne, a first time buyer, has been promoted to Sales Manager at the NEXT retail outlet at The Rock, which is in the heart of the new landmark Miller Homes’ development in Bury. The Rock is the largest combined retail, leisure and residential development to open in the UK in 2010, and is the new place to be in the North West. The development has over sixty retail stores including M&S, Next, Primark and Debenhams, a 1,250 space car park, eight restaurants, a 10 screen Vue cinema and a 24 lane AMF bowling centre.
Yvonne says: “When I won promotion at the new store at The Rock it seemed to be the perfect time to make the move to my own home, which I have been thinking about for some time. As a first time buyer it’s really difficult to get on the property ladder, so the Miller Homes’ MiWay scheme has been fantastic and has allowed me to buy my first ever home.”
Yvonne is buying a two bedroom, two bathroom apartment in Mazarin House at The Rock, which is a contemporary home with fully carpeted bedrooms and stylish wooden floors throughout the living areas. Yvonne continues: “My new apartment is beautiful! The two bathrooms really make a difference and offer great flexibility. I am thrilled to be able to buy this apartment, as I never really wanted to rent, it’s much better that I can invest in my own home.”
Yvonne has worked for NEXT for the last three years, starting as a Sales Assistant at a retail park, she has steadily worked her way to her current Sales Manager role at The Rock. With four promotions in just three years, a fantastic new job at the prestigious Rock development and a brand new home to look forward to, the world is her oyster. Yvonne continues: “What a place to live. I have everything on my doorstep and as I work here there will be no more commuting in rush hour traffic every day. The nightlife is fantastic, great shopping and loads of leisure facilities – what more do I need! I might even consider getting rid of my car, as Bury is such a central location, with the Metro around the corner I can easily get into Manchester, it’s just perfect.”
