Aimee and Neil are delighted with the value for money after securing their perfect place at Taylor Wimpey’s Carrington Park development of Essex flats.

When it comes to space, quality of life and value for money, nothing compares to a Taylor Wimpey apartment for Aimee Nolf and Neil Miller.

The young couple snapped up a two-bedroom apartment at the leading housebuilder’s sought-after Carrington Park development of new homes in Silver End, Essex.

Securing their first home together didn’t take Aimee and Neil long – Carrington Park was only the second development of flats for sale in Essex they had looked at, and once they found out what they would get for their money, they didn’t hesitate to sign to secure their place.

“Being first-time buyers, we were really conscious about getting as much value as possible for our money,” says Aimee, a hairdresser who works at the Definitions salon in Braintree.

“We found we could afford a bigger apartment at Carrington Park, complete with a garage, all for a lower price than the other development of property for sale in Essex we had looked at. The garage is crucial as Neil has a car which he takes to shows, so he needs the storage – we just didn’t think we’d get it with an apartment.

“The plans for landscaping at Carrington Park are also really impressive, whereas the other development was mostly concrete and little greenery, which we didn’t like.

“Plus, the rural, village location is great.”

Aimee (25) and Neil (26), a mechanic at Trinity Service Station in Chelmsford, bought their apartment off-plan, and have spent the past few weeks checking up on the development’s progress.

“We drive up there once a week to see how things are coming on, and it’s really exciting to see the building we are going to be living in,” says Aimee.

“After choosing our kitchen, bathroom tiles and finishing touches, it really will be our dream home.”

Each two-bedroom apartment at Carrington Park has been carefully laid out to maximise the use of natural light and space, and features a contemporary fitted kitchen, a good-sized living/dining room, an en-suite to the master bedroom, a main bathroom and second bedroom located off the private entrance hallway.

Selected plots within the handsome, three-storey ‘Leonora Court’ building, which Aimee and Neil will soon be moving into, boast attractive Juliet balconies to the living areas, while two of the apartments have private single garages and further plots each benefit from two allocated parking spaces set within landscaped grounds.

Carrington Park enjoys an excellent location in the semi-rural ‘garden village’ of Silver End, home to shops catering for everyday needs, a primary school and a children’s nursery centre, a village hall and library, a doctor’s surgery, a pub, a choice of take-away restaurants and a small supermarket.

Schools for older children and a wider choice of shopping outlets can be found in Witham and Braintree, each about five miles away.

For commuters, the A12, the M11 and the M25 are all within easy reach, putting Colchester and London within a comfortable driving distance, while Witham Railway Station runs regular services to London Liverpool Street in less than an hour.

Carrington Park, located off Boars Tye Road, Silver End, Essex, is open Thursdays to Mondays 10am to 5.30pm.
