Stamford Homes appoints new land manager

Award-winning Stamford Homes has appointed Miles Howard as land manager.

Chartered surveyor Miles joins the Peterborough-based developer with almost two decades of experience in land buying for new homes builders across the region.

Having spent the past 18 years building up contacts, local knowledge and buying land around East Midlands, predominantly in Leicestershire, Miles has developed an ‘eye’ for housing projects in their absolute infancy.

He said: “As a company, the majority of land we buy continues to be brownfield, and we are very much looking for areas where we can work with planners to develop stand alone sites – offering a mix of housing that suits that particular market or area.

“My role very much involves a close working relationship with the technical and design teams here at Stamford Homes, as well as the sales team.

“Working alongside the land owners is also a crucial part of the role, focussing on design and creating a scheme they can be proud of.”

Miles (43) is based at Stamford Homes’ head office in Orton Southgate and lives in Leicestershire.
