The Rowan family have moved into a bigger, better, brand new home without having to worry about finding a buyer for their old one, thanks to part-exchange from Redrow.

Rhona and Stephen Rowan, together with their two children, moved up the property ladder from a three-bedroom home to a four-bedroom ‘Roadford’ at Redrow’s Garncroft Wynd development in Glenboig, North Lanarkshire.

“We had lived in our old home for 11 years and decided to move because we needed more space. We were looking at other properties in the area and visited the sales office at Garncroft Wynd,” Rhona explained.

“The offer of part-exchange helped make things quick and easy as we didn’t have to worry about finding a buyer for our old home.

“I had never even been in a show home before, but the sales staff were fantastic all of the way through. Because everything went smoothly we were able to move sooner than we expected.”

The Rowans – including Elvis the miniature poodle – are delighted with their new home.

“The open plan space with the combined kitchen, dining area and family room is great and the kids have their own space too,” Rhona said.

“I would recommend buying a Redrow home because they’re good value for money and have good sized rooms.”

Mary McHutchison, sales manager for Redrow Homes (Scotland), said: “Part-exchange is the smarter way to move up the property ladder. With Redrow effectively acting as a ‘cash buyer’ for a customer’s old home there’s no need to worry about getting caught up in a complicated chain and there are no agent’s fees to pay.”

The final home at Garncroft Wynd has now been sold, but part-exchange is also available on selected properties at other Redrow developments in central Scotland, including Sylvan Brae, at Inverkip, Whitehirst Grange, Kilwinning and Riverside Point, Braehead.
