Local Taylor Wimpey Sales Executive says home-buyers can enjoy a host of benefits by moving to the housebuilder’s Dovedale Park development of houses for sale in Swadlincote.

When looking for the perfect property for sale in Derbyshire, it pays to listen to what local people are saying about the area.

So when Taylor Wimpey Sales Executive Wendy Bowley says ‘Dovedale Park has it all’ for those in search of property in Swadlincote, it’s well worth taking note of her opinion.

Born and bred in Measham, just 15 minutes down the road from the development of properties in Swadlincote, Wendy is equipped to let property-seekers know why Dovedale Park is a great place to live.

“Whether it’s location, the setting or the new homes, Dovedale Park has it all,” says Wendy (53), who has been a Sales Executive at the development of new homes in Derbyshire for eight years.

“Not only do we have a range of beautiful new homes for all types of movers looking for property for sale in Swadlincote, but they are nestled within a fabulous location.

“Dovedale Park itself is being beautifully landscaped, but it’s also in the heart of the National Forest, so you’re surrounded by trees, nature reserves and parks and have so many lovely walks on your doorstep.

“Further afield you have Matlock and the Peak District within easy reach, while the Conkers Discovery Centre is two miles away and Swadlincote has its very own Ski and Snowboard centre. There’s so much to do in the area you’d never get bored!”

Swadlincote’s amenities also get the thumbs-up from Wendy, who adds: “Everything you need is there, from small shops to a big Sainsbury’s supermarket which has just been extended to sell electrical goods. Plus there’s the leisure centre, local pubs, restaurants and local schools.

“It’s been lovely to talk to so many people who have come to find out about the new homes and it’s reaffirmed to me what a lovely, genuine warm bunch you get in Derbyshire. Anyone from outside of the area is sure to be made welcome, that’s just the way we are around here!”

Property-seekers have been flocking to Dovedale Park since the development was officially launched at the start of August, giving Wendy plenty of opportunity to talk to people about the benefits of the excellent location, as well as the great range of new homes available to reserve.

These include three-bedroom houses from just £130,500, and the fabulous four-bedroom ‘Chiltern’ priced at only £158,950.

The three-bedroom ‘Woodville’, for example, is a delightful semi-detached house featuring a large lounge with French doors to the rear garden, a thoughtfully designed kitchen/breakfast room and a guest cloakroom off the entrance hallway.

Upstairs, the first-floor landing leads to two good-sized bedrooms and a main bathroom, while the en-suite master bedroom with dressing area and built-in closets can be found up on the top floor.

While all new homes at Dovedale Park come with a fitted kitchen complete with integrated oven, hob and hood, those reserving their new home early can select finishing touches for their new home from Taylor Wimpey’s Options range, which includes smart flooring and plush carpets through to beautiful lighting, granite worktops and a full range of integrated appliances.

Dovedale Park nestles amid stunning landscaped grounds, in an area which has benefited from the planting of 20,000 trees, grasslands and ponds.

The development lies to the south of Woodville village on the outskirts of Swadlincote and in the heart of the National Forest, with woodland trails on the doorstep.

Woodville offers a convenient range of local shops, a post office, schools and a selection of restaurants within walking distance of the new homes, while the development will also be served by new bus services, cycle and pedestrian routes and a new link road to the south.

Swadlincote town centre is just under two miles away from Dovedale Park. The town is well served by schools for children of all ages, while commuters will appreciate the M42, M6 and M1 are close by and direct rail services operate from Burton upon Trent railway station to Birmingham and Nottingham.

Dovedale Park is located off Woodville Road, Swadlincote, DE11 8FH and the Sales Centre is open Thursday to Monday from 11am until 5pm.
