Food and drink festivals in Pembrokeshire

Foodies and art lovers are expected to descend on Pembrokeshire this September for two of the county’s most popular festivals – Tenby Arts Festival and the Narberth Food Festival.

Family-run cottage company Celtic Haven is offering accommodation from as little as £125 per person for a four-night stay during the festival dates.

The nineteenth annual Tenby Arts Festival kicks off on September 18 with a weeklong programme of events including poetry readings, opera and champagne evenings, dramatic performances and musical workshops. The festival aims to showcase the best artists, actors and music from all aspects of the Pembrokeshire arts scene.

For those preferring a feast for the taste buds, the Narberth Food Festival is a community event run entirely by volunteers and features food demonstrations, street entertainment, pudding competitions and plenty of tasting opportunities too. Claiming to be the friendliest food festival in Wales, the lively two-day event runs on the weekend of September 25 and includes a fun and educational look into everything foodie; from sausage making to cake decorating. Top Welsh chef Stephen Terry will also be on hand to give a pasta-making master class.

A short drive from Narberth, and located just five minutes from the centre of Tenby, Celtic Haven cottage resort is the ideal base for exploring both the festivals and the stunning Pembrokeshire coastline. Boasting 26 traditional guest cottages, from romantic cottages for two dating back to the 12th century, to six bedroom cottages suitable for up to 12 guests, Celtic Haven offers short breaks of three to four nights from as little as £125 per person based on four people sharing a two bedroom cottage. Week-long breaks start from just £650 for a two bedroom cottage this September.

As well as boasting stunning views of the Atlantic and the nearby monastic island of Caldey, guests at Celtic Haven can also enjoy the use of the only Elemis Premier Spa in West Wales and free use of all the resorts leisure facilities, including sauna, gym, indoor swimming pool, all-weather tennis courts and the nine-hole headland golf course.
