Don't miss out on HomeBuy Direct

Time is running out for HomeBuy Direct purchasers in Lowestoft

One of the most widely-used home buying incentives, the 70 per cent shared equity HomeBuy Direct scheme, is coming to a close in just a few weeks, which is why the team at leading homebuilder Persimmon Homes Anglia is urging househunters to register their interest as soon as possible before they potentially miss out.

“HomeBuy Direct has been an invaluable tool for those earning a household income of less than £60,000 as a way of achieving property ownership,” comments Jon Gibbs, sales director for Persimmon Homes Anglia. He adds “The allocation of HomeBuy Direct properties at our Carlton Colville development Lark Rise will finish in September, meaning those looking to buy through the scheme will have to register their interest quickly.”

Through HomeBuy Direct, Persimmon’s purchasers initially pay for just 70 per cent of the market value of their chosen home, with the remaining 30 per cent seen as a loan from Persimmon and the Government, which is interest and repayment free for the first five years.

Currently available with the scheme at Lark Rise is a stylish selection of two bedroom apartments, which are priced from £82,775. As part of Persimmon’s generous offer the company will also pay five per cent towards the purchaser’s deposit.

Jon concludes: “As a Group Persimmon has assisted over 2,000 new homeowners with the shared equity incentive, and in the Anglia region alone we have supported over 130 purchasers. Our prices and offers at Lark Rise coupled with the beautiful apartments available means purchasing with us is not just an attractive proposition but an affordable one too.”

The development is being constructed around a central area of beautiful open space, which will include a play area for young children to enjoy. Residents will also benefit as the site is being build around a series of cul de sacs, to lessen the worry of through traffic.

Carlton Colville hosts a selection of shops, a supermarket, post office and healthcare facilities meaning househunters will find all the day to day necessities they need within close proximity. Lark Rise is situated close to the beautiful Suffolk coastline, with award winning sandy beaches on its doorstep it’s an ideal location to call home.

Lowestoft town centre is just over two miles away, which plays host to a wider range of amenities plus a cinema, theatre and department stores. The thriving city of Norwich is just forty minutes by car and the local train station also has dedicated services to Norwich, Ipswich and London.

To find out more about the homes available at Lark Rise, visit the marketing suite, open Thursday to Sunday from 10.30am to 5.30pm and on Monday from 11.30am to 5.30pm.
