Anyone who has been priced out of home ownership and wants to get onto the property ladder is being urged to take advantage of Barratt’s innovative Head Start scheme.

Designed to get more people onto the housing ladder Head Start is currently available on selected new homes at Barratt’s Bridgwater development Festival.

“Our message is very simple – you don’t need a big deposit to buy a new home from us,” said sales manager Mary Daymond.

With Head Start buyers can move in with an 80 per cent mortgage and a five per cent deposit.

Barratt will pay the other 15% which you can pay back in up to 10 years – exclusively for first time buyers and key workers.

“Barratt is offering ways to make home ownership more realistic and affordable for First Time Buyers which the second-hand market simply cannot match. I would urge anyone who is interested in finding out more to come along to find out more.”

Homes currently available with Head Start at Festival include three different apartment styles.

The Neptune is a two bedroom apartment costing from £114,000 with the Mermaid which has two bedrooms, and ensuite facilities from £125,000 and the Spinnaker with its open plan living from £133,000.

For further details visit or contact the Festival sales office, open seven days a week from 11am to 6pm.
