Pizza making classes for kids at basilico

basilico, who have recently celebrated the opening of their sixth store in Crouch End, are introducing pizza making classes for children to familiarise them with fresh ingredients as they prepare their own pizza.
Set to take place monthly, on Sundays at 10.30am, each class will have up to eight children and is free of charge. The next available class will take place on Sunday 31st October 2010 and will last one hour.
The Crouch End shop, which has just opened, is in a very family orientated area, and basilico is looking forward to introducing these children to food and cookery through preparing the fresh ingredients basilico uses across its range. They will learn how to work the dough, put together their own pizza, and watch it cooked to perfection in the wood fired oven before enjoying it in store or at home.
Children must be accompanied by a parent/adult (max two children per adult) and are welcome to enjoy the newspapers and smoothies at the window, whilst the children cook.
basilico now operates six stores across London, including Crouch End, which opened in August. Basilico still specialises in its signature artisan pizzas prepared in the wood fired ovens, but has also added pasta dishes, whole roast chickens, build-your-own-salads and a selection of desserts.
