London Mayor Boris Johnson opens brand new Gants Hill roundabout to make travel easier for residents of George Wimpey’s Invito development of flats in East London.

Residents of George Wimpey’s landmark Invito development of East London flats can now make the most of a new and improved local transport network – after Boris Johnson officially declared the revamped Gants Hill roundabout open.

The Mayor of London was in Gants Hill on Friday 1st October to begin three days of festivities marking the completion of a multi-million pound roadworks project to enhance the busy junction and make it more pedestrian and cyclist-friendly.

The opening of the roundabout, which is overlooked by the Invito development of new flats in Gants Hill, means residents of the iconic apartment development can now enjoy safer and easier travel every day – whether by two wheels, four wheels or on foot.

However, anyone hoping to secure their place within this sought-after new community will have to be quick, because just four one-bedroom apartments remain available for sale at this development of East London property.

With prices starting at just £154,995 and a range of money-saving incentives on offer to make purchasing an Invito flat in East London even more affordable for first-time buyers, they are not expected to be available for long.

Michael O’Leary, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “The attractively priced apartments at Invito enjoy an exceptional East London location, and thanks to the opening of the brand new Gants Hill roundabout, even more convenient transport links.

“The cutting-edge architecture of this stunning development has already earned its place as one of Gants Hill’s most striking landmarks, and with just a handful of high-quality homes remaining, would-be purchasers are advised to stake their claim without delay – before someone else beats them to it.”

Selected apartments at Invito are available now with George Wimpey’s Easy Start shared equity initiative, which lets qualifying first-time buyers secure their property now for just 85% of the purchase price.

Alternatively, the leading housebuilder’s Deposit Match scheme lets purchasers instantly double their deposit on selected homes. All homebuyer incentives are subject to availability and full details, including terms and conditions, are available from the Sales Executive at the development.

Invito apartments also offer rental yields of more than 7% – meaning a one-bedroom flat, priced from £160,000, can be rented out for around £950 per month.

Each of the final four apartments at Invito benefits from a generous lounge/dining room with open-plan fitted kitchen, plus a good-sized bedroom and a separate bathroom, while many plots boast private balconies to living areas.

Invito is conveniently located in the heart of Gants Hill, part of the London Borough of Redbridge, and lies two miles north of Ilford, about 12 miles from central London and only four miles from Docklands.

The apartments are also perfectly placed for many road and rail links. Just a short walk from Gants Hill tube station, the centre of London is only 22 minutes away on the Central line, while by car, the A12, M25 and M11 are all within easy reach. For those travelling further afield, London City Airport is just 12 miles from home and Stansted Airport is about 27 miles away.

Gants Hill has a choice of cafes, restaurants and shops, while nearby Ilford has a large selection of high street stores and an excellent shopping centre and a multi-screen cinema. Fairlop Waters, in nearby Barkingside, is an ideal place for a round of golf, windsurfing, angling, power-boating or horse-riding.

To be in with a chance of securing one of the final homes at Invito, visit the ‘Images’ Sales Centre, located off Perth Road, Gants Hill, and open Thursday to Monday from 10am to 5.30pm.
