Jaguar C-XF wins Editor’s Special Award

The C-XF is a stunning, four-door sports saloon which blends design purity with unmistakable dynamism and is a clear indication of the design direction that the next generations of Jaguar saloons will take.
Jaguar’s corporate sales manager, David Spencer said: “I am delighted the C-XF has picked up the Editor’s Special Award from Fleet World. Interest in both the C-XF and the XF has been incredible since the concept won ‘star of the show’ at Detroit Motor Show in January*. We are really looking forward to building on this when the XF goes on sale in the UK next year.”
The Fleet World Honours are presented annually to those motor manufacturers and service companies who have achieved the highest possible level of excellence in their sector. The judging panel, chaired by industry professional George Emmerson, consists of representatives from the leasing industry, price guides, fleet management professionals and Fleet World’s editorial team.
Fleet World editor Ken Rogers commented: “The Jaguar C-XF concept is a truly dramatic four-door saloon. Whilst drawing on design cues from Jaguar’s illustrious heritage, it gives a clear indication of the future directions of this charismatic, British marque. The motor industry does not lack imaginative design studies, but few have made as much of an impression on me in recent times. It is clearly destined to become a future automotive design classic.”
The C-XF is currently being shown at selected venues throughout the UK, giving dealers and customers the chance to see it in the metal.
*When the covers came off the C-XF in Detroit it was voted ‘Star of the Show’ by Autoweek magazine. Following this, the XF was awarded ‘Most exciting car to be launched in 2007’ by What Car? magazine and website readers.
