Travel giant pledges to raise £25k for Children In Need

Kingston-based online travel giant TravelRepublic.co.uk has pledged £25,000 to this year’s Children In Need appeal if it reaches a target of 100,000 Facebook fans in the next five weeks.

Managing director Paul Furner said: “We’re very keen to make this donation to a truly worthwhile cause and hope that this campaign will capture the imagination of our customers and the wider Facebook community.”

By going to facebook.com/travelrepublic  and clicking ‘like’ at the top of the page, each Facebook user can donate 25p of Travel Republic’s money to Children In Need.

Furner added: “This means we have just five weeks, until Friday November 19, the night of the Children In Need appeal, to galvanise the UK's 24 million Facebook users into action. I am confident that if we can encourage people to join in and tell their friends, we'll do it."
