Dymond signs for Apex Jaguar

Chris raced the Supercharged V8 Jaguar during the second half of the 2008 season, and admits he is ‘smitten’ with the car, and can’t wait for the first race at Silverstone on 2nd May.
“I’m really excited to be back with Apex for a 2nd year. The team have been working so hard over the winter to get the new car ready, I’ve been training hard and I’m in the best shape I’ve ever been. I know I can deliver the results to give them the reward they so thoroughly deserve.”
Chris started racing karts at the tender age of 8, becoming the National Endurance Champion by the age of 14. In 2004, Chris started racing karts internationally, alongside the Super 1 National Championship and BRDC stars of tomorrow series winning races in both championships.
Chris then moved onto the BRSCC Fiat Racing Challenge where he had 9 wins, and 12 poles on his way to the Rookie championship title and 3rd overall, taking the Brands Hatch lap record whilst still a novice! Also trying his hand in a Formula Ford, winning a round of the Star of Silverstone Championship and achieving 1st place graduate from the Silverstone Motorsport Academy.
In 2007 Chris joined the Renault Clio Cup, and was the highest placed “rookie” in the championship with 8th overall, achieving 4 podium finishes.
Chris is currently studying for a Sports Performance degree at Loughborough University, and says that his driving ambition is to race, and win, at Le Mans.
