A Government-backed scheme that helps first time buyers secure a home without a large deposit has been extended at one Burton-upon-Trent based development.

Housebuilder Morris, the developer behind the Paget Green development, off Horninglow Road, will be one of the few developments in the region to still offer the Government-led HomeBuy Direct scheme beyond September.

The popular scheme which enables qualifying first time buyers to purchase a new home with a mortgage for just 70 per cent of its market value has helped thousands of homebuyers take that first leap into home ownership.

The scheme will be available on a range of three bedroom homes at Morris’ Paget Green Development which starting from just £111,825*.

Cindy Vials, regional sales director for Morris, said “The HomeBuy Direct scheme really is as good as it sounds. It eliminates the biggest hassle of buying a first home – saving for the deposit – and means that you can get onto the property ladder sooner rather than later.

“The schemes first wave ended in September for most regions across the country but we’re pleased that we’re now able to offer it at Paget Green as the development has proved extremely popular with first time buyers.”

Located close to Burton’s historic town centre, Paget Green is within easy reach of many local amenities including shops, schools, transport links and Shobnall Fields park. The development also offers easy access to the A38 and A50 for links to Derby, Nottingham and Birmingham.

For more information, visit the sales office (open Thursday to Monday from 10.30am until 5.30pm) at Paget Green, Horninglow Road, Burton-Upon-Trent, DE14 2PS.

*Price quoted is 70% of the marketed price on selected homes under the HomeBuy Direct scheme. Subject to terms and conditions. Price is correct at time of going to press.
