A Government-backed scheme that helps first time buyers secure a home without a large deposit has been extended at one Melton Mowbray based development.

Housebuilder Morris, the developer behind the St Mary’s Park development, on The Crescent, will be one of the few developments in the region to still offer the Government-led HomeBuy Direct scheme beyond September.

The popular scheme which enables qualifying first time buyers to purchase a new home with a mortgage for just 70 per cent of its market value has helped thousands of homebuyers take that first leap into home ownership.

The scheme will be available on a range of three bedroom homes at Morris’ St Mary’s Park Development which starting from just £117,425*.

Cindy Vials, regional sales director for Morris, said “The HomeBuy Direct scheme really is as good as it sounds. It eliminates the biggest hassle of buying a first home – saving for the deposit – and means that you can get onto the property ladder sooner rather than later.

“The schemes first wave ended in September for most regions across the country but we’re pleased that we’re now able to offer it at St Mary’s Park as the development has proved extremely popular with first time buyers.”

For more information on the properties at the new Melton Mowbray development, visit the sales office (open Thursday to Monday between 10:30am and 5:30pm) at St Mary’s Park, The Crescent, Melton Mowbray, LE13 0LD.

*Price quoted is 70% of the marketed price on selected homes under the HomeBuy Direct scheme. Subject to terms and conditions. Price is correct at time of going to press.
