Government scheme available for first timers in Derby
A Government-backed scheme that helps first time buyers secure a home without a large deposit has been extended at one Derby based development.
Housebuilder Morris, the developer behind the City Point development, off London Road, will be one of the few developments in the region to still offer the Government-led HomeBuy Direct scheme beyond September
The popular scheme which enables qualifying first time buyers to purchase a new home with a mortgage for just 70 per cent of its market value has helped thousands of homebuyers take that first leap into home ownership.
The scheme will be available on a range of two bedroom apartments and three bedroom homes at Morris’ City Point Development which starting from just £73,325*.
Cindy Vials, regional sales director for Morris, said “The HomeBuy Direct scheme really is as good as it sounds. It eliminates the biggest hassle of buying a first home – saving for the deposit – and means that you can get onto the property ladder sooner rather than later.
“The schemes first wave ended in September for most regions across the country but we’re pleased that we’re now able to offer it at City Point as the development has proved extremely popular with first time buyers.”
City Point has the advantage of being within close proximity to the city centre, and its new Westfield shopping centre and Showcase cinema, as well the beauty of being in a local area surrounded by beautiful parks – making it the perfect location for starting a home.
