Bradley Ellis to drive for Apex Jaguar GT3 Team

Ellis, who achieved 4th place in the 2008 GT3 Championship with the Matech Ford GT Team was delighted to be taking the newly styled Jaguar onto the track at Silverstone.
Apex Operations Director, John Christie commented; “The new XKRS has been performing extremely well during testing, and coupled with Bradley’s undoubted skills behind the wheel, we have an excellent opportunity here to demonstrate this car’s performance.”
Aged 21, Ellis has been racing since 1997, taking titles in karting since his first year on entry. In 2004, Ellis made his racecar debut with Italian team ITLOOX Racing in Formula Renault Italia, moving to GT racing in 2006 with Team RPM Porsche 996, and taking three wins during his first GT season.
Ellis then went on to take the 2007 Avon Tyres British GT Championship crown in the Dodge Viper, and was a close contender for the FIA GT3 championship in 2008, finishing overall 3rd.
Ellis commented; “It’s great to be back on track in the FIA GT3 European Championship and I’m looking forward to working with Apex Motorsport at Silverstone.”
The first race of the GT3 Series takes place at Silverstone on Saturday 2nd May at 14:30, with the second race starting on Sunday 3rd May at 11:30.
