Search is on for Britain's friendliest person

Health insurer National Friendly has launched an exciting nationwide search to find the UK’s friendliest face and is encouraging people to put forward their entries for the first ever National Friendly Face Awards.

The effect that positive and friendly people have on their community is invaluable and National Friendly wants to hear about the UK's unsung heroes and is encouraging people to put forward friends, family, milkmen, postmen or any other stars that brighten up their day.

One lucky winner will receive a luxury four star relaxing weekend away for two at their choice of a Shire Hotel Resort and Spa across the UK with cases of wine and M&S vouchers for the worthy runners-up.

CEO, Richard Sear, said: “At National Friendly we really appreciate the contribution that positive, friendly people among us make to the nation’s well-being. We can’t wait to hear all about [insert] friendly faces; those people that make us smile and feel special and we are calling on local residents to help us get the first ever National Friendly Face Awards off to a flying start!”

People can nominate someone by visiting: facebook.com/nationalfriendly or nationalfriendly.co.uk/friendlyface

Competition closing date is the 30 November and the winner will be announced in January 2011. Full terms and conditions can be found at: nationalfriendly.co.uk
