Buyers wanting to reserve apartments at Fairfield Park in Murton are being given an extra boost by Taylor Wimpey’s shared equity scheme.

New, two-bedroom properties are now available at the fantastically-placed development, from as little as £79,995.

Buyers taking advantage of the housebuilder’s Easystart can enjoy an even better deal and purchase their dream property from as little as £67,995.

With the average price for a two-bedroom apartment in the region now standing at £113,000, the Fairfield Park apartments represent an amazing investment and are a great way for first-time buyers to get on to the property ladder.

Under the Easystart scheme, first-time buyers own 100 per cent of their new home from day one but pay just 85 per cent of the price.

With prices for a new apartment at Fairfield Park usually starting at just £79,995, this means that the same apartment type is available under the Easystart scheme for just £67,999 with only a 5% deposit payable, making the scheme more affordable to those who think they can’t afford to buy.

The Keats, Milton and Tennyson ranges of apartments are all available to buy through the scheme and include allocated parking spaces, modern fitted kitchens and contemporary bathrooms.

Regional sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey North East, Joan Peart, said: “The Easystart scheme is an excellent opportunity for first-time buyers to get a foot on the property ladder and is particularly attractive to buyers who are finding it difficult to raise larger deposits.

“But demand at Fairfield Park is already high so potential purchasers need to contact us as soon as possible to ensure they secure their new home.”

Home affordability has improved significantly for potential first-time buyers over the past year and Taylor Wimpey has helped thousands move into a new home.

A short drive to the coast and Seaham Harbour, Fairfield Park is surrounded by beautiful countryside. A wealth of leisure and shopping facilities are on hand nearby including Dalton Park shopping mall, while Murton itself is home to a range of amenities including a dentist and doctors’ surgery, banks, food shops and schools, all within a short walk of the development.

The A19 and A1(M) only a short drive away, providing easy access to Teesside, Newcastle and Sunderland. There is also a bus service that runs close to the development with a regular service to Durham, Peterlee and Sunderland.
