If you’re stuck in a house share with a bunch of people you don’t get on with, or are (creepy) crawling the walls living at your parents’ home, then you need to go to the ‘I’m A Renter, Get Me Out Of Here’ event, being held this weekend (30th/31st) at Taylor Wimpey Midlands developments across the West Midlands.

Celebrating the imminent return of the popular TV series, ‘I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here’, the house builder is hosting the fun event as a bid to help first time buyers desperate to escape the renting cycle make the first steps into home ownership and freedom!

What’s more, for the duration of the show, anyone reserving a property at one of Taylor Wimpey Midlands ‘I’m A Renter’ developments will be entered into a prize draw to win a trip down under*.

Anne Wallace, regional sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey Midlands, said: “Our ‘I’m A Renter’ event certainly has an element of fun but the hurdles facing first time buyers today is a serious issue. This is why we want to demonstrate the various ways in which we can help them get onto the property ladder, whether that’s through helping out with a deposit, putting them in touch with a financial advisor or clearing up the confusion on shared equity schemes.

“We’re preparing for a busy weekend, especially as there’s a trip to Oz up for grabs. So if you’re keen to find out more why not come along and say G’day to the sales team at the weekend, we promise they’ll be no ‘bush tucker trials’ to endure!”

House hunters visiting the developments will be able to take advantage of Taylor Wimpey’s latest incentive designed to help make the moving process more affordable.

This new initiative comes in the form of a subsidised mortgage which sees Taylor Wimpey credit the difference between a maximum representative mortgage rate of 5.99% and the offer rate of 2.99%. The difference is paid into the purchaser’s bank account following legal completion. Terms and conditions apply. Customers advised to seek independent advice before taking out any mortgage.

The ‘I’m A Renter’ developments taking part are Henley Grange in Halesowen, The Hedgerows in Dudley, Lawley Farm in Telford, Regency Square in Burton, Grafton Gate in Roade or Diglis Water in Worcester.
