Aston Martin joins Motor Codes

5th November 2010 Print

Luxury automotive marque Aston Martin has demonstrated its commitment to providing first class customer service by joining Motor Codes, the self-regulatory body for the motor industry.  Committing the brand and its network of retailers to the Motor Industry Code of Practice for New Cars, Aston Martin joins 38 other vehicle manufacturers that offer an extra level of consumer protection to UK motorists.

“Since recently opening up the New Car Code to all new car manufacturers, the Motor Codes team has seen strong interest from several brands keen to step up to the mark in delivering the highest standards of customer service,” said Chris Mason, Motor Codes director. “We are confident that more specialist makers will follow the example of Aston Martin now that government has approved their inclusion in our Code.”

The New Car Code was the first set of regulations to receive full approval from the Office of Fair Trading and covers 99% of all new cars registered in the UK. Having successfully demonstrated the ability of the New Car Code of Practice to raise standards for volume vehicle manufacturers, Motor Codes recently received government approval to expand its Code to niche and specialist car makers.

Motor Codes administers the New Car Code along with the Service and Repair Code and the Vehicle Warranty Product Code. At motorcodes.co.uk, garages can subscribe to the Service and Repair Code for just £75 a year with a garage check by the RAC every two years for £175.
