SMC Swift Star Car winner collects prize from Chris Tarrant The Shooting Star Children’s Hospice recently ran a competition to win a Suzuki Swift and the holder of the winning ticket collected her prize today at the Hospice.

The car was supplied by Suzuki dealer SMC of Hillingdon and Harrow which has a long established association with the high profile charity.

The winner, a very happy Mrs Leppit, received the car from Chris Tarrant, a friend and great supporter of the charity. Also at the handover was one of the Hospice patients – eight year old Lauren Clarke and her younger brother Harry who last year designed a Suzuki Swift Christmas Card which was endorsed by Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen.

The Star Car has been on display at various locations in the area where it attracted huge interest and raised more than £60,000 for the Hospice. The proceeds from the competition will be used to fund much needed palliative care nurses for life-limited children at Shooting Star House.

Karen Sugarman, Director of Fundraising Development commented: “We are so pleased with the results of the Star Car draw and are very grateful to SMC Suzuki for their very generous donation and pro-active involvement with us. Their support makes a real difference to our care here.”
