Orange UK launches the Samsung Galaxy Tab
Orange has unveiled the Samsung Galaxy Tab as the latest smart device it is ranging in the run up to Christmas. Available immediately through selected Orange retail shops and Orange telesales, the Galaxy Tab will be available on one and 12 month price plans from Orange.
Running on Android 2.2, the Galaxy Tab features a striking 7” TFT-LCD display which delivers an exciting mobile experience for watching films, viewing pictures, e-reading or sharing documents. The Galaxy Tab’s light (380g) build also provides perfect portability, with its svelte dimensions making it easy to grip and use.
The device will feature a customisable Orange home screen which will provide users with quick-link access to great Orange apps including:
Orange Wednesdays, the 2-4-1 cinema ticket app - allowing you to read reviews, watch trailers as well as redeem 2-4-1 vouchers all from the device
Orange Maps – offering turn by turn GPS navigation And the option to download Your Orange, so users can manage their Orange account, and keep up-to-date with their mobile data usage
From launch, the Galaxy Tab will be available across a choice of flexible price plans designed to meet the needs of those who like to use mobile data occasionally with Racoon, and those who want to use it more regularly with Dolphin. On select Dolphin price plans, customers will receive an additional 1GB “quiet time” data allowance (from midnight until 4pm), and have the option of unlimited data through BT OpenZone public WiFi. Furthermore, existing Orange pay monthly, pay as you go and home broadband customers will receive a £5 reward discount on their monthly line rental.

The Galaxy Tab supports the latest Adobe Flash Player 10.1, as well as WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, full HD video and two cameras – a 3.0MP camera with LED Flash and a 1.3 MP front facing camera.
