Step onto the property ladder with a stylish, affordable brand new home in North Manchester.

New Redrow homes at Hanson Gardens and Kenyon Gardens in Moston offer a lifeline to those who are stuck in the rental trap or living with family or friends when what they really want is a home of their own.

Prices start from as little as £104,995 and thanks to a shared equity scheme, administered by Manchester City Council, homeownership is even more affordable.

Lesley Myers, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (Lancashire), commented: “The average age of first time buyers purchasing without financial assistance from their parents is now 37. And only recently the Home Builders Federation (HBF) said the average first time buyer would need to save every penny of their earnings for more than two years to get on the property ladder,

“All this makes depressing reading, but our ‘easi:buy’ scheme could help them buy a home of their own sooner than they thought – and without the need for a hefty deposit.”

Redrow’s ‘easi:buy’ scheme enables purchasers to put off paying up to 25% of the cost of a brand new home. It means a two-bedroom property could be snapped up for as little as £78,746; while a four-bedroom home, on the market at £132,995, can be purchased for an initial outlay of less than £100,000.

Customers will only need to take out a mortgage for 75% of the value of the home, which means they should have access to some of the better mortgage interest rates without needing a large cash deposit.

They’ll still own 100% of their new home from day one but can defer a quarter of the price for up to 10 years or until they have more funds available. Crucially the equity loan is interest free for 10 years.

“The help of our ‘easi:buy’ scheme could be the difference between a lifetime of renting or living with parents and owning a home of your own,” Lesley commented. “Buyers may even discover that their mortgage repayments are lower than the rent they would pay for a similar sized property.”

The homes in Moston look traditional on the outside and are designed to reflect the area’s proud heritage. Inside they are bright and modern with extra generous master bedrooms and living spaces, plus special measures to make them more energy and water efficient. They are also fully accessible and easily adaptable for occupation by a disabled person.

Three show homes are open daily at Hanson Gardens, off Lightbowne Road, Moston, enabling potential purchasers to experience all that a brand new Redrow home has to offer.

Moston enjoys a vibrant community atmosphere, with excellent shopping facilities. There has been major investment locally in schools, colleges, leisure facilities, parks and public spaces with a new Metrolink to Manchester City Centre due to open in the spring.
