IRC Manufacturers’ Champions’, Skoda Motorsport (Factory), has today confirmed its attendance at the 2011 Monte-Carlo Rally (19-22 January), which next year celebrates its 100 year anniversary.  Competing at the event will be both Skoda Motorsport crews – reigning 2010 IRC Driver’s Champion Juho Hänninen & Mikko Markkula, and Jan Kopecký & Petr Starý, this year's IRC runners-up.

“The Monte-Carlo Rally is very special to us, especially because it is where we made our debut with the Fabia Super 2000 in 2009. Next year will be the 100th anniversary of this legendary event, while Skoda Auto will also be celebrating 110 years of motorsport, so it’s certainly an interesting combination. Furthermore, this rally is one of the best motorsport meetings in the world, and we are highly motivated for a successful event,” said Michal Hrabánek, Head of Skoda Motorsport.
